Golden View Health Care Center is governed by a Board of Directors composed of local community members, health care and financial professionals, guiding the organization in accordance to its mission and its fiduciary responsibility as a community based not-for profit organization.
Jeanne V. Sanders, CEO
Jeanne V. Sanders is the CEO of the Golden View Community, a non-profit health care center, which includes Golden View Health Care Center (a 105 bed skilled nursing and transitional care center), The Inn at Golden View (a 22 bed assisted living facility), The Terrace at Golden View (a 16 bed assisted living facility), and The Cottage at Golden View (a 10 bed assisted living facility), in Meredith, New Hampshire. She has been Administrator of Golden View Health Care Center for more than thirty five years.
Ms. Sanders is a past president of the New Hampshire Health Care Association and has served on its Board of Directors holding various offices for the past thirty five years. She has served as deputy Vice President and Secretary/Treasurer of Region I for American Health Care Association representing Connecticut, Massachusetts, Maine, New Hampshire, Rhode Island and Vermont. She has been a member of the American College of Health Care Administrators for over thirty years. At American Health Care Association, she has served on the national Facility Standards Committee, Quality Committee, Regulatory Committee, Survey and Regulatory Sub Committee. She served on the American Health Care Association Executive Committee as Chair of Regional Vice Presidents. Currently she is the Secretary/Treasurer of the American Health Care Association Region I and serves on the Non-Profit Council and American Health Care Constitution and Bylaws Committee. She is a founding member of the New Hampshire Long Term Care Foundation and served on the board of directors for five years. She is a Director of the New Hampshire Health Care Association and co-chairs the Payment for Services Committee of the New Hampshire Health Care Association. She now is serving as Vice Chair of the New Hampshire Board of Examiners for Nursing Home Administrators.
Throughout her health care career, Ms. Sanders has served on numerous regional, state and local committees. She has devoted much of her time to being a resident and provider advocate. Some of her activities include the Commissioner of Health and Human Services Re-organization Committee, Commissioners O.B.R.A. Committee, Ombudsman Long Term Care Advisory Board, New Hampshire Medical Society, P.A.D.S. Project, and New Hampshire Long Term Rate Advisory Committee. She has been a guest lecturer at the University of New Hampshire, Plymouth State University, Colby Sawyer College, New York Health Facilities Convention, the American Health Care Association Independent Owners Symposium, the New Hampshire Conference on Health Care and the Health Facility Survey Agencies Conference. She was appointed by the Institute of Medicine, National Academy of Sciences to review the Long Term Care Ombudsman Program of the Administration on Aging and served as a panelist for the National Institute for Mental Health Symposium. She testified before the United States Senate Sub Committee on Aging. She served for over twenty five years on Community Health and Hospice Professional Advisory Board.
Jeanne has been interviewed for Long Term Care issues in resident’s rights, resident’s quality of life and restraint reduction which were published in Contemporary Long Term Care, McKnight Long Term Care News, Hospital News, Provider, Long Term Care Management, and Quality Care Advocate. As a forerunner of restraint free philosophy, Golden View Health Care Center has been visited by NBC Nightly News and AARP to investigate their successful program. The facility was also featured in a training video in restraint reduction distributed by the American Health Care Association. Golden View was selected to participate in grant programs including improving physician involvement in long term care and a grant program to improve staff retention in nursing homes. Ms. Sanders is the recipient of the New Hampshire Health Care Association Commitment Award, New Hampshire Health Care Association President’s Award, the New Hampshire Health Care Association Leadership Award, the New Hampshire Chapter of American College of Health Care Administrator’s Professional Achievement Award, Facility Leadership Award, and the New Hampshire Health Care Association Long Term Care Life Time Recognition Award. Golden View Health Care Center has received the American Health Care Association Step I and Step II Quality Awards.
Ms. Sanders was born and educated in New York. She attended S.U.N.Y. at Oneonta and received a B.S. degree. She received a M.S. degree from Queens College (CCNY). Through Golden View, she has been a member of the Meredith Chamber of Commerce for over thirty five years and was a member of the Moultonborough Zoning Board of Adjustment for twenty years.
Rosemary Simino, Nursing Home Administrator
Rosemary Simino has worked in health care for over 25 years. Rosemary began her career in long term care working in a variety of entry level positions and continued working in those positions while attending Keene State College. After obtaining a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration in 1993, Rosemary was promoted to the Director of Social Services at Westwood Healthcare Center in Keene, NH. During her tenure at Westwood, she was accepted into the Administrator-In-Training Program for Sowerby Health Care, Inc. Rosemary continued her training to become an administrator with her mentor at Woodlawn Nursing Home in Newport, NH. While completing her training at Woodlawn Nursing Home, Rosemary was also the Director of Business Services. Rosemary obtained her New Hampshire Nursing Home Administrator’s license in 1996 and became the administrator of Woodlawn Nursing home at that time. Rosemary joined Golden View Health Care Center in 1998 as the Assistant Administrator and Director of Quality Assurance. In 2008, Rosemary obtained her license to practice as a nursing home administrator in Vermont. Rosemary has actively served on the New Hampshire Health Care Association’s Survey and Certification Committee since 1996 and has been actively involved in the American Health Care Association’s Quality Award Program since 2003.
