I have had occasion to have care in three hospitals but the care I got at Golden View was second to none. All three shifts at the facility made you feel they did "care" and they all showed they loved their job and it spilled over. I was ,in fact, sorry to leave except for going home.

Coping with Grief During the Holidays

Fri, Dec 07 2012 at 11:30amCoping With Grief During the Holidays
Thursday, December 13th at 4:00pm.

The Holiday Season approaches once again, but this year, instead of thinking about holiday cards, gifts, decorating and entertaining, you wonder how to celebrate while the loss of a loved one weighs heavily on your heart.  The first few years are perhaps the most difficult, but even years later, the holidays can still prove to be missing some of the joy they once had.

The purpose of this information and support meeting is to help give the holidays new meaning and to teach us how we can open our minds to new ways of celebrating the holidays while still remembering and honoring our loved ones.

This support group will be hosted by The Retreat at Golden View.  For more information please contact Shirley Marcoft, Bereavement Coordinator at Central NH VNA & Hospice, 524-8444

Certified Alzheimer Caregiver Support Group

Wed, Jul 25 2012 at 03:30pm

6:00pm on the last Tuesday of every month!

Don’t go it alone. Alzheimer's is a challenging disease

Are you looking for someone to talk to, someone who understands what it's like to deal with Alzheimer's disease? Whether you've just been diagnosed or you're caring for a loved one, joining a support group could be a great way to find people who understand what you're experiencing.

Golden View has partnered with the Alzheimer’s Association, and is currently the only certified Alzheimer’s Caregiver Support group available in the Lakes Region and greater Plymouth area.  Please join Frank Vignand, Director of Resident & Community Relations on the last Tuesday of every month at 6:00pm to discuss healthcare issues and current healthcare practices, with an emphasis on memory loss in the elderly.  There is no cost to attend and refreshments will be provided.  For more information on this support group or to let us know you’re coming, please call 279-8111
