Certified Alzheimer Caregiver Support Group
Wed, Feb 15 2012 at 12:58pmAlzheimer Caregiver Support Group: Last Tuesday of Each Month at 6:00pm
The only Central NH Support Group certified by the Alzheimer's Association
Don't go it alone. Alzheimer's is a challenging disease and upwards of 25% of adults in the US and Canada are presently caring for an aging parent or relative.
Are you looking for someone to talk to, someone who understands what it's like to deal with Alzheimer's disease? Whether you've just been diagnosed or you're caring for a loved one, joining a support group could be a great way to find people who understand what you're experiencing. Support groups help members feel better prepared to cope with their unique situation. Support group members report feeling less alone, more able to confront their daily problems, and more hopeful about their future. The advantages of joining a support group are limitless.
In recognizing the impact a support group can have, Golden View has partnered with the Alzheimer's Association, and is currently the only certified Alzheimer's Caregiver Support group available in the Lakes Region and greater Plymouth area. Please join Frank Vignand, Director of Resident & Community Relations on the last Tuesday of every month at 6:00pm to discuss healthcare issues and current healthcare practices, with an emphasis on memory loss in the elderly. There is no cost to attend and refreshments will be provided. For more information on this support group or to let us know you're coming, please call 279-8111.
